Rebirth at the Ghost Hotel

A game made over  (the cumulative hours of ) a week, for the Pizza Game Jam.  The theme I chose was "Ghost Hotel," and here's what I came up with.

Welcome... to Purgatorio! The premiere Hotel for ghosts, specters, lost souls and etc here in limbo.  Enjoy your complimentary vessel for rebirth and all the provided amenities.  Battle your way through all the residents of the hotel and strengthen your vessel as you progress.  Reach the top of the hotel and you may have a shot at Reincarnation!

Gameplay:

• Explore the hotel and interact with the various signs, posters, plants, chairs, fishtanks, etc for some juicy bits of text
• Interact with the doors on each hotel floor to meet one of the ghostly residents and challenge them to a battle.   Winning a battle awards you a new weapon or vessel type.
• Upgrade your vessel by clicking the inventory button and changing out your weapons as well as your vessel type.
• Beat all the ghosts on a floor to unlock the next floor in the hotel.  
• Interact with the elevator to change floors.
• Whole game should take about a 45 min - 1 hour, enjoy!

(There's no sound, but I ran outta time *shrug*  I chose to but that time into other aspects of the game, so just listen to some music and vibe)

Controls:

• WASD / ARROW KEYS - Movement
• SPACE - Interact with objects / Use ability in battle
• SHIFT - Run, outside battle
• LEFT/RIGHT CLICK - Use Weapons
• ESCAPE - Exit game - Game saves progress automatically, so don't worry.  There's a load game portal on the spawn island.
